2023 is complete, and 2024 is already a busy, full, and exciting year!

LOOKING BACK...
2023 was possibly the busiest year of my career, and I'm still catching my breath!  In addition to numerous publisher projects and private commissions, I released two major commissioned works in 2023:  REQUIEM and THESE ANCIENT WORDS.  My life revolved around deadlines and airport departure times.

Last year was also filled with seeing friends and meeting new people at concerts, events, and workshops.  The year started off with a 3-month artist-in-residency at Greenwich Presbyterian Church outside of D.C., and ended with my conductor's debut at Carnegie Hall.  Sandwiched in all of that was what I affectionately called "The Requiem Tour," as well as a few rounds of COVID!

LOOKING AHEAD:
I jumped into 2024 with more events and projects!  Hear are a few highlights:
  • The world premiere of "Harriet Tubman," a new collaborative work with Earnestine Rodgers Robinson, performed by the Memphis Symphony and Memphis Symphony Chorus in partnership with the National Civil Rights Museum
  • Masterclass at Houston Christian University
  • World premiere of "Blessing for This Life" by the Houston Choral Society
  • Masterclass and concert at Pensacola Christian College
  • The New York premiere of "These Ancient Words" at Carnegie Hall
  • TCDA Evensong performance with Inspirata Music
  • Choirs Across Dallas 2024 with colleagues Rosephayne Powell, Reginal Wright, and Craig Courtney
  • Lots of "Requiem" performances, including premieres in London and Dublin this summer

My 2024 project list includes writing two new major works coming out in 2025 - stay tuned!  Darla, the cutest dog in the world keeps me company when I'm home writing. (And for the many who ask, she stays with her favorite person in the world when I travel and has the time of her life.  She's a happy dog!)

THANK YOU for supporting me with work, prayers, and friendship in my career and ministry.  I am blessed to have you in my circle!
